Located in Hautvillers, the village of Dom Pérignon, the Joseph Desruets Champagne House offers to reveal the secret of its precious beverages: a magnificent oak wine press, the oldest still in use in the Champagne AOC.
During this one-hour visit, you will discover the unique history of the house founded in 1888, its century-old know-how and the traditional methods it still applies today to preserve its identity. Methods that contribute directly to the success of Joseph Desruets champagnes, rare and subtle, and which are linked to the use of an ancestral press.
It is thanks to this 125-year-old press, called "Darcq Flamain", that the pressing of the grapes has remained traditional. It is characterized by its capacity of 4,000 kg, no less. This discovery will be followed by a short tour of the winery and one of the cellars of the house, and will end with a tasting session. Whether you are a wine lover or a true connoisseur, one thing is certain: this visit will not leave you indifferent!
