Champagne lovers, the House of DE BARFONTARC in Baroville invites you to visit its facilities before enjoying a picnic basket in the middle of the vineyards. The opportunity to toast to the beauty of the Champagne landscape.
Bringing together about fifty winegrowers from the villages of Baroville, Fontaine and Arconville on the Côte des Bar, the Cooperative Vinicole de la Région de Baroville was founded in 1962. One thing leading to another, the pressing center developed to finally create its own brand of champagne "DE BARFONTARC".
Nominated in the category "Cooperative of the year" by the Trophées Champenois, DE BARFONTARC stands out for the quality of its champagnes, which have won several awards in professional competitions. Indeed, their fruity taste resulting from the alliance of two noble grape varieties (Pinot Noir and Chardonnay) does not leave anyone indifferent. Moreover, it is useful to specify that DE BARFONTARC champagnes are elaborated with state-of-the-art equipment, in the purest champagne tradition.
All this, you will discover it by yourself during the visit of the domain. When you arrive on the premises, you will be warmly welcomed. Your guide will be happy to explain the different steps of the wine making process and to answer all your questions.
You will then go to the heart of the vineyard for lunch. The picnic basket consists of a cold meal and includes a bottle of Champagne Tradition Brut and a bottle of water. Of course, glasses and cutlery are provided!

CHAMPAGNE DE BARFONTARC
In 1962, about fifty winegrowers from the villages of BARoville, FONTaine and ARConville in the Côte des Bar region joined forces to create the "Coopérative Vinicole de la Région de Baroville". Initially a pressing center, the Cooperative developed and produced its own brand of champagne "DE BARFONTARC".
Located in Baroville, it still gathers the same winegrowers exploiting 112 ha of vineyards in 7 surrounding villages and employs about twenty people all year long.
