So mystical and so silent, the Lac Blanc owes its name to the crystalline sand at the bottom of its waters. It is located at an altitude of 1055 m and occupies an ancient glacial cirque of the Vosges mountains in the commune of Orbey in the Haut-Rhin. As for the Gazon du Faing, it is one of the 10 highest granite summits of the Vosges massif and offers a panoramic view on the whole valley, especially on the immensity of the Lac Blanc.
