Cross-country skiing in the Nordic area

Do you dream of putting on your skis and setting off to conquer a landscape as sumptuous as it is enchanting? It's possible at the Lac Blanc ski resort! And more specifically on its Nordic area, nestling in the heart of the forest between the Tête des Faux massif and the Tanet-Gazon du Faing nature reserve, both of which are protected areas.

Departing from the Col du Calvaire car park or the Auberge du Blancrupt, take your own pace through these majestic landscapes while enjoying the view of Lac Blanc, which is completely covered in frost in winter. With the So Nordic label, the Lac Blanc resort offers cross-country skiers no fewer than 68km of groomed runs, whatever their level. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced skier, cross-country skiing offers great moments of contemplation, as well as a fun, all-round activity that's very much in vogue!

Our ideas for after-ski activities

To continue the fun on the slopes at the Lac Blanc resort, take your family to discover rail sledging. It's an exhilarating activity, with a top speed of 40 km/h! For the more adventurous, two safe toboggan runs await families at Lac Blanc 1200.

With or without a guide, if you're more into snowshoeing than skiing, there are plenty of marked trails and itineraries to suit all levels, so you can turn into a real snow trapper!

Finally, after a day full of activities and discoveries, there's nothing like a relaxing break in the heart of the Vosges mountains. The ideal place? The Kaysersberg water sports centre. Its pools and wellness areas are open all day. Perfect for paddling your youngest child and pampering yourself!

Gourmet après-ski

Epicureans who have come to savour the delights of the mountains will be in heaven thanks to the tastings and tours organised in the region.

In the Kaysersberg valley, an emblematic point on the Alsace wine route, head for the cellars and artisan cheese dairies to sample the great vintages and the famous Munster cheese. The delights of the Grand Est par excellence!

For a cultural (and gourmet!) break, opt for a visit to one of the sites dedicated to Vosges know-how and gastronomy. A museum of eaux-de-vie, a confectionery, a distillery: a full programme awaits you, all under the banner of authenticity and gustatory pleasure!

The ideal alpine ski resort for children

A resort on a human scale, Lac Blanc is ideal for a family winter getaway. Most of the infrastructure, from accommodation to catering, is concentrated at Lac Blanc 1200.

It's here that children can take advantage of a wide range of activities to have fun in the snow. On the agenda for the youngest and the other Piou-Piou: safe pistes, adapted ski lifts, and their first descents in a snowplough with an instructor. And maybe even his first star as a future champion?
