Have you heard of Walpurgisnacht, the legendary night of the witches? On April 30, you'll have the chance to unravel its mysteries at the Écomusée d'Alsace! Join us from 4pm to 9pm, and plunge into a world full of stories and legends to tell. Superstitious or not, you're sure to have a great time!

Legend has it that on the night of Walpurgisnacht, the pagan deities of spring came out into nature to put an end to winter. To mark this special event, the alleys of the Écomusée d'Alsace will be lit up with a thousand and one lights, and lulled into a warmly superstitious atmosphere.

Immerse yourself in these ancestral rites linked to nature, and let yourself be carried away by the legendary stories associated with Walpurgisnacht. Your guided tours will be punctuated by stories of black cats and other superstitions, sure to arouse your curiosity.

Come along with your family or friends to share this unusual experience! Don't worry: to ward off bad luck, folk dances and other traditional rituals will be on hand!

L'ÉCOMUSÉE D'ALSACE, A TRADITIONAL VILLAGE IN THE HEART OF NATURE

BUILDINGS & BIODIVERSITY
Today, the Ecomusée d'Alsace consists of a village of 80 buildings representative of Alsace at the beginning of the 20th century, all dismantled from their commune of origin and reassembled in the museum. Around the village, on an area of 97 hectares, you'll find 4 signposted trails to discover biodiversity, as well as agricultural areas in biological transition.
Be curious! Push open the door of each house to discover the treasures it contains: a converted interior, an exhibition, a craftsman's workshop or a stable with animals!

The Ecomusée d'Alsace boasts an exceptional collection of over 40,000 objects, reflecting the daily lives of Alsatians. When the museum was created in 1984, Alsatians became passionate about this adventure and began sending regular donations to the museum.

When visiting with friends or family, take part in the activities that punctuate every day in the village: milking cows, feeding pigs, visiting the apiary, boat trips... and sample the traditional recipes prepared at the Maison des Goûts et des Couleurs...
