On your own, as a couple or with your family, take a trip back in time. For 1h30 to 1h45, your guide will take you on a tour of the bastioned fortifications designed by Vauban, whose military engineering was a real support for Louis XIV. As one of the 9 cities built "ex nihilo", i.e. from scratch, Longwy is a true representation of the engineer's ideal city.
Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2008, the Place Fortede Longwy includes a sophisticated defense system. During the guided tour, you will explore an exceptional cross-shaped underground, a powder magazine, but also many historical monuments of the city,such as the Porte de France and its half-moon, the Place d'Armes, the Siege Well and the military bakery. Each step of the walk will provide you with new discoveries,which will be a real treat.
