Immerse yourself in the magic of Christmas in Metz with a guided walking tour of its various markets! From one square to another, follow your guide through the illuminated city and discover the chalets, local artisans, gourmet specialties, and traditions that mark the end-of-year celebrations in Metz. A convivial walk to fully enjoy the Christmas atmosphere while discovering the city.
The tour begins at Place Saint-Jacques, then moves on to Place d’Armes, at the foot of the majestic Saint-Étienne Cathedral. You continue your stroll towards Place de la Comédie, then Place de la République, which hosts many chalets as well as the grand Christmas tree. The visit concludes at Place Saint-Louis, surrounded by the remarkable medieval façades. In total, you will explore the 5 iconic squares of Metz’s Christmas markets, each with its own ambiance and discoveries.
Throughout the walk, your guide will introduce you to the products offered at the various markets and showcase local artisans. Indulgence is also on the agenda with a tasting of regional biscuits. To end the visit in a warm atmosphere, a festive drink is offered on Place Saint-Louis: spiced red or white wine, or hot fruit juice as an alcohol-free alternative.
Between chalets, illuminations, treats, and heritage, this tour allows you to discover Metz’s Christmas markets in a unique way and enjoy their festive atmosphere with a guide. Book your visit, let yourself be carried away by the magic of the holidays, and savor Christmas at the heart of Metz!
