ASSOCIATION OUVRAGE A5 BOIS DU FOUR
Completely scraped during the Occupation, the Ouvrage A5 Bois du Four was a forgotten ruin of the Maginot Line in 1945. Purchased by the Commune de Villers-la-Montagne in 1990, the structure has been entrusted to an association of volunteers, who have been restoring and refitting it for over 30 years. It is located in the north of the Meurthe-et-Moselle département, in the Lorraine region of the Grand-Est region, close to Longwy, Belgium and Luxembourg. A 2-hour visit immerses you in the life of the soldiers of concrete in a unique museography on the Maginot Line.
