An immersion in the fascinating world of the Barbary Macaques, that's what La Montagne des Singes offers, in Kintzheim in Alsace. Here, since 1969, the park has amazed young and old, from generation to generation. The visitor experience is unique.
You are in the heart of a "responsible" leisure park. The guides present throughout the visit will introduce you to the place, its role and the discovery of its "hosts". Here, the objective is to better understand the species in order to better protect it.
You will listen to the sounds of nature, the cries too, and discover the social interactions between young and old. You will smile at the acrobatics of the youngest and the phlegm of the elders. You are visiting another world, theirs!
The forest of 24 ha allows an observation in conditions close to the wild life.
Your curiosity is aroused... The guides then answer all the questions that come to mind, then comes the feeding time. Slowly and surely, you understand the responsible and educational action of the place. You tell yourself that you too can act in your own way to save the fauna and flora.
Then your glance returns on this group. There, between two males, a ball of hair smaller than the others. As touching as you wish, the little " polisson " hides, looks at you, hides... It's one of the young of the year. Observe its look and look at you smile.
This is what the Monkey Mountain is all about and much more.
