The Eagles’ Volley
Let yourself be approached and tamed by the most amazing birds of prey in the world in the ruins of a medieval castle classified as a historical monument!
Nestled in the heart of the Haut-Koenigsbourg Massif in Alsace, this open-air observatory has allowed several generations of visitors to be approached and tamed by the most astonishing birds of prey from every continent in the world, for more than half a century.
Today, the first visited aviary in France, the Volerie des Aigles protects under its wing a large family of more than 80 birds of prey from 30 different species and offers ideal observation conditions and direct contact with the caretakers via commented flight presentations, open-air tours and thematic animations.
The dexterity of eagles, the acrobatics of kites, the dizzying speed of falcons, the silent flight of owls, the closeness of vultures or the ingenuity of the Egyptian vulture… The immersion in the world of birds of prey, previously unexplored by the visitors, is total!
