Share a warm moment with your partner or family over a gourmet meal! The Restaurant Au Vieux Couvent opens its doors to you in Rhinau for a « Menu Gourmand » inspired by Alsatian traditions. A well-stocked sensory adventure, to be enjoyed in an authentic and elegant waterside setting!
Headed by Michelin-starred Chef Alexis Albrecht, Gault & Millau’s 2015 Pastry Chef of the Year, Le Vieux Couvent’s cuisine is distinguished by an Alsatian soul revisited ad infinitum. The Chef explores the flavors of nature to create true gastronomic masterpieces. Wild herbs, vegetables, fish, meat and game come together in a thousand and one facets.
The « Menu Gourmand » deliciously reflects the Maison’s signature. Introducing savory aperitifs and appetizers, followed by a starter, main course and dessert. All rounded off with mignardises and homemade herbal chocolate. Selected beverages will also accompany your meal, including a house aperitif, two matching glasses of wine, an Innovo house water and a hot drink. A perfect complement to the generous, gourmet cuisine for which Le Vieux Couvent is renowned!

SARL AU VIEUX COUVENT
gastronomic restaurant located near the flowery banks of the Brunnwasser: On the plate, we enjoy the work of Alexis Albrecht, who has worked in the best restaurants (at the Crocodile, at the Pourcel brothers and at Jacques Maximin). His cuisine is generous and respectful of the seasons. He works with local producers such as the Coccinelle farm in Witternheim and the Riedwasen farm in Sélestat. Thus, the fish of the Rhine and the game of the Ried are at home here... without forgetting the numerous vegetables and other aromatic herbs of the family garden that he cultivates with his father and that nature gives us.
