Enjoy a unique experience combining nature and history with Stéphane Latourte, a passionate nature guide, as you discover the Crête des Eparges, between nature and history.
This 3-hour outing takes you to the Crête des Eparges, a place steeped in history and a reminder of the terrible fighting of the 1st World War. At the end of the war, the decision was taken to afforest the battlefield.
Explore the Forêt du Renouveau, a forest that was reborn after the war. Your guide Stéphane will explain how the trees have grown back and regenerated, allowing local biodiversity to flourish once again.
An outing that will also appeal to fans of historical accounts, thanks to an immersion in history. Discover the impact of war on the Éparges forest, witness to the intense fighting that marked the region.
It’s a great way to observe nature, decipher the signs of history in the landscape and understand how the forest has evolved over time.

Meet us on August 29 at the Nécropole National du Trottoir at Les Eparges, starting at 9am.
This outing is open to the whole family. Closed-toe shoes are essential, and we recommend wearing rain gear or a cap, depending on the weather.
Dogs on a leash are welcome.
