Housed in a renovated former fire station, La Grande Georgette owes its name to an old tradition. At the end of the 1920s, it was customary to name the large ladder after the wife of the fire station captain. And today, the décor - resolutely designer - still hints at this glorious past. All the more reason to immerse yourself in a unique universe with a friendly atmosphere.
When you book a table at La Grande Georgette, expect to be pleasantly surprised. Chef Julien Raphanel will delight your taste buds with his delicious bistronomic cuisine. LA CASERNE CHANZY
The Caserne Chanzy is the first Autograph Collection address of the Marriott International group to open in Reims. Located on the square in front of Notre-Dame Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this hotel, spa and restaurant offers its guests an exceptional location.
The hotel building is a place full of history. Inaugurated in 1926, it housed the fire station of the city of Reims for nearly 70 years. In 2019, after several years of abandonment, the building became La Caserne Chanzy. Spread over 5,500 m2, the former fire station is part of the Art Deco architectural heritage that marks the reconstruction of Reims in the 1920s.
The Chanzy Barracks houses a hotel with 89 rooms, half of which offer a breathtaking view of the Cathedral. Its restaurant, La Grande Georgette, takes its name from a tradition that existed at the end of the 1920s: to give the large scale the first name of the wife of the captain of the barracks. The Deep Nature Spa is a real jewel box of softness, with a hydromassage pool, a sauna, a hammam, a fitness room and five treatment rooms.
