Installed in the former bishop's palace and classified as a historic monument, the museum adjoins the cathedral. At three minutes walk from the Aube Conference Centre, the Troyes Museum of Modern Art hosts the Pierre and Denise Lévy National Collections, including works by Gustave Courbet, Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, André Derain, Maurice Marinot, Robert Delaunay and Nicolas de Staël. After four years of renovation, the first part of the reopening (27 December 2022) has unveiled a redesigned and enlarged visitor route; a landscaped garden that can be privately hired, with a sculpture route featuring contemporary art; and other spaces for hire (a 100-seat auditorium and a reception room) that have been either newly created or renovated. Full opening of the museum in autumn 2023.
