Come and discover the chamois from every angle at the Lac Blanc resort in the heart of the Vosges Massif. At 6 p.m., meet your guide at the Maison d’accueil du Lac Blanc (Lac Blanc 1200 resort) and set off together for the climb to the Vosges ridges.
In good spirits, young and old alike move along at the guide’s pace, attentive to his explanations of the history and way of life of the chamois. Suddenly, the expert stops in front of two fingerprints anchored in the ground. There’s no doubt about it, it’s a chamois footprint! It’s so exciting to know that you’re getting closer to your goal. From now on, you’re going to have to be very discreet, because it doesn’t take much to scare them off.
After the guide has explained a little more about chamois hooves, the group settles down and starts observing.
After a few minutes, it’s a joy to finally catch sight of a silhouette in the distance. Get out your binoculars for a better look. See how agile this animal is, leaping so easily from rock to rock. Here’s another one with a magnificent coat and ebony-black horns.
Hurry up and capture these images with your camera. Be discreet!
