Surrounded by immense vineyards, this village in the Marne promises a real change of scenery in the heart of nature. René Lalique’s birthplace has much to tell through its emblematic monuments. From the church of Saint-Brice d’Aÿ to the lock at Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, via the Canal Latéral à la Marne, the architecture of Aÿ-Champagne will take you on a journey through history. Famous champagne houses, including Deutz and Bollinger, are based in this wine-growing village.

In fact, in the village, it’s not called « champagne », but « vin d’Aÿ ». This famous vin d’Aÿ is in fact the medicine prescribed by King Henri IV’s physician! The local winemakers will be delighted to tell you all about this legend and share a moment of royalty in your palace.
