A vast forest region interspersed with mountainous terrain and dotted with spectacular lakes, the Vosges département is the ideal playground for hiking and cycling, which are practised in all their forms here.

    With forest cycle routes, mountain bike descents, a bike park, electric bikes for the steepest passes and road bikes for the valleys, welcome to a cycling paradise!

    The mountain all year round 

    The Vosges département is the ideal destination for family holidays. Gérardmer and La Bresse, the two main resorts, offer the best of the mountain all year round.

    In summer, they are the perfect place for invigorating outdoor activities, whether in the air with paragliding to admire the best views, in the water with Lac de Gérardmer and its various water sports, or on land with some of the best walks around, including the Route des Crêtes. The trail winds along the Vosges peaks, taking in breathtaking viewpoints!

    In winter, the resorts are clad in a beautiful white coat giving you the chance to enjoy winter sports.

Don’t miss the famous Imagerie d’Epinal, a former printing works founded in 1796 that continues to enchant visitors, or the spectacular Gallo-Roman amphitheatre in Grand, one of the biggest in the Roman Empire. Immerse yourself in the heart of the history of France in Domrémy-la-Pucelle, the birthplace of Joan of Arc.
