Braid your basket in interlacing
You want to learn how to braid? This is the perfect opportunity. You will come and weave your own basket during one day in Valerie’s workshop in Bouxurulles in the Vosges. It will be made of raw wicker (willow branches with its bark).
This workshop is for creative or curious adults, for beginners or those who already practice basketry.
Valerie was trained at the basketry school of Fayl-Billot in Haute-Marne 23 years ago. She has participated in many basketry festivals in France and in Europe and has met basket makers who have allowed her to evolve in her practice. The art of interlacing is one of them. It is Valerie’s specialty since 10 years, she will share this know-how with you.
During the day, you will have time to discuss the culture of wicker, its preparation…
