Then learn how to repair a damaged antique book, whether for a simple repair or a complete restoration. Didier Marchal will personally guide you through the process, reinforcing pages, repairing or replacing binding, and restoring text and illustrations.
You’ll also have the opportunity to learn how to create a magnificent leather book cover, using ancient techniques and specialized tools. Didier Marchal will show you how to master traditional leatherworking methods and achieve exceptional results.
At the end of the workshop, you’ll be able to admire your creations by laying your hands on the antique books you’ve restored. Leave with an in-depth knowledge of book restoration and the basic skills to pursue this exciting activity.
