L'Atelier du Papier marbré
One day, I discovered a book decorated with a circular paper called Ebru. Understanding, discovering and unravelling the mystery of this 18-century paper led me to the door of my marble master in Izmir, Turkey. This was the beginning of my quest for personal and professional harmony for over 13 years. Today, I'm known as a "marble artist on paper". The imprint of my artistic identity lies between tradition and creation.
I work with an ancient paper-decorating technique, which involves floating paint on a liquid surface and then completing the printing process by transferring the print onto the paper. This art known as Ebru (marbled paper) has been on UNESCO's intangible World Heritage list since 2014.
