The Centre Pompidou-Metz is devoting an exceptional exhibition to Louise Nevelson, a major figure in 20thᵉ century sculpture. From January 24 to August 31, 2026, discover the powerful and singular universe of this pioneering installation artist, through an immersive scenography where each work becomes a space in its own right.
More than just an exhibition, this retrospective offers a truly sensory experience. The play of light, contrasting shadows and sculpted volumes plunge visitors into an immersive universe. Some works, shrouded in a mysterious blue halo, reinforce this loss of reference points, creating an almost theatrical artistic setting.
Through this exhibition, the Centre Pompidou-Metz brings to life Louise Nevelson’s wish to make her sculptures an immersive experience, to be experienced with all the senses rather than simply as objects to be contemplated.
Accessible to all, a daily guided tour of around 30 minutes is included in the admission ticket, without reservation. It’s the ideal way to better understand the artist’s creative process.
Book your tickets now and let yourself be surprised by the intensity of this unique cultural experience in Metz.
