A tribute to Afro-American music and dance that will take you on a vibrant journey for 3 days! Let yourself be carried away, and dive into an energetic artistic universe rich in nuances! The atmosphere will be festive and warm, ideal for family outings or with friends!
The festival will feature renowned artists such as Spanish pianist Lluís Coloma, one of the most popular on the piano blues and boogie scene, French stride pianist Louis Mazetier, and German Axel Zwingenberger, who will also be on hand with his unique blues and boogie. And for even more music to enjoy, the festival stage will also welcome the young Hungarian Cili Marsall, the sensational Corey Dennison Band, the Anglo-American Carl Sonny Leyland and the Nishati Gospels Singers, straight from the United States!
To make you want to discover these styles that are not well known by the general public, the On The Mississippi festival has also planned various events in the city of Strasbourg and its surroundings. Join us at the Point d’Eau in Ostwald for wild parties, enjoy a concert-brunch at the Château de Pourtalès, attend piano and dance masterclasses in the Eurometropole and a free concert on the quai des Bateliers in Strasbourg!
