One of France’s largest botanical gardens, it boasts over 12,000 plant species from the 4 corners of the globe. Along the paths, you’ll discover an incredible variety of plants: rare species threatened with extinction, botanical curiosities and exotic plants with surprising shapes. The tropical greenhouses offer a truly sensory exploration of humid climates, lush foliage and spectacular plants. Access also includes the temporary exhibitions, which enrich the visit with a scientific and educational look at biodiversity.

The Jardins botaniques du Grand Nancy et de l’Université de Lorraine are made up of the Jardin botanique Jean-Marie Pelt (Villers-lès-Nancy/54) and the Jardin d’altitude du Haut Chitelet (route des crêtes/88). At the Jardin botanique Jean-Marie Pelt, you can discover almost 12,000 species in a 25-hectare garden with 2,500 m2 of tropical greenhouses. Rare and endangered plants, astonishing and unusual plants are cultivated in one of France’s largest botanical gardens – a veritable living museum of botany!
