Ateliers Jeune Public – Centre Pompidou-Metz
Treat your children to a fun and creative immersion in the world of modern and contemporary art at the Centre Pompidou-Metz. Every weekend and bank holiday, the famous cultural venue in Metz offers a Atelier Jeune Public, designed for children aged 5 to 10. A great opportunity to explore art interactively, in an inspiring setting designed by architects Shigeru Ban and Jean de Gastines.
From September 13, 2025 to January 11, 2026, the « La Mélodie du Vivant » workshop offers children a unique sound immersion, imagined by artist Global Industrial Culture. The workshop concludes with a musical performance of their own creation, with the sole aim of imitating the living by creating a collective musical composition. An original and stimulating workshop that awakens their artistic sensibilities while cultivating their imagination.
The 90-minute sessions take place at 11 a.m. or 3 p.m., in a friendly, caring atmosphere. In parallel, don’t miss La Capsule, a free space for artistic exploration open on Wednesdays, Saturdays and public holidays from 2pm to 6pm. A participatory experience where art comes to life in contact with the public.
Until September 21, 2025, you can discover Marco Perego’s « The Being », an immersive installation in constant evolution. This living work, nourished by interaction with the public, questions our collective consciousness and invites sensitive reflection on what makes us human.
From October 11, 2025 to January 11, 2026, La Capsule will host a collaborative project by Elizabeth Peyton, in partnership with the Beaux-Arts de Paris. As part of the Copistes exhibition, the artist and students will revisit La Sainte Anne, Leonardo da Vinci’s unfinished masterpiece, through contemporary drawings. A vibrant encounter between artistic heritage and contemporary creation.
