Exhibition: The moving image, a wonderful world
Explore a fascinating visual world where images come to life, play with your perception and tell you a story in a different way. This immersive exhibition, presented at the Abbaye des Prémontrés, just a few minutes from Metz, invites you to discover the origins of cinema and the richness of the visual arts through a playful and sensory experience.
Handle ancient devices such as the zoetrope, praxinoscope and magic lanterns, and be amazed by optical illusions and early pre-cinema machines. From the ingenuity of the inventors to the Lumière brothers, this tour traces a fascinating technical and artistic adventure.
You’ll also be amazed by the world of animated books: pop-ups, book-objects or book-games… these spectacular creations transform reading into a veritable visual spectacle. Each page becomes a miniature theater, a work of art to be manipulated, where paper takes shape, moves and tells a different story.
An interactive, sensory exhibition that delights young and old alike, combining art, science and the magic of images. Book your visit now for a unique journey into the heart of the visual imagination!
