Terra Alsatia: sound and light show in Colmar
Enjoy an extraordinary visual and emotional experience with Terra Alsatia, the must-see sound and light show projected onto the walls of Colmar’s Saint-Joseph church.
Lasting just over an hour, this grand historical fresco traces the destiny of two Alsatian twins and their descendants between 1870 and 1945. Through their choices, their struggles and their dramas, the entire history of Alsace – human, political and spiritual – comes to life on stone, brought to life by powerful images and an emotionally-charged narrative.
This monumental show brings together over 300 passionate volunteers, 100 professional technicians and artists, and 100 actors and extras. Using state-of-the-art technology and 300 projectors, including 28 video projectors, video mapping transforms the church into a veritable theater of light. Total immersion, spectacular staging and guaranteed emotion.
