Step back in time at the Écomusée d’Alsace and immerse yourself in the world of schooling in days gone by, with an immersive and convivial experience. With family or friends, take up an original challenge by passing the Certificat d’Études Primaires, as it was offered at the beginning of the 20th century.
Take your place behind a desk, pen in hand, and let yourself be guided through a carefully reconstructed classroom. Dictation, arithmetic, history and science punctuate this activity, faithful to the teaching methods of yesteryear. Each test invites you to use your knowledge, logic and team spirit to progress together.
The atmosphere is authentic and immersive: the teacher, attentive and demanding, ensures that the tests run smoothly. Discipline, diligence and participation are essential if you hope to score the right points and avoid the dunce’s cap. This playful and educational situation brings back to life the codes and requirements of the school of yesteryear, in a dynamic and accessible atmosphere.
Share an original moment combining games, history and complicity. Reserve your place and test your knowledge in this unique experience at the Écomusée d’Alsace.

Ecomusée d'Alsace
L'ÉCOMUSÉE D'ALSACE, A TRADITIONAL VILLAGE IN THE HEART OF NATURE
--
BUILDINGS & BIODIVERSITY
Today, the Ecomusée d'Alsace consists of a village of 80 buildings representative of Alsace at the beginning of the 20th century, all dismantled from their commune of origin and reassembled in the museum. Around the village, on an area of 97 hectares, you'll find 4 signposted trails to discover biodiversity, as well as agricultural areas in biological transition.
Be curious! Push open the door of each house to discover the treasures it contains: a converted interior, an exhibition, a craftsman's workshop or a stable with animals!
--
LABEL MUSÉE DE FRANCE
The Ecomusée d'Alsace boasts an exceptional collection of over 40,000 objects, reflecting the daily lives of Alsatians. When the museum was created in 1984, Alsatians became passionate about this adventure and began sending regular donations to the museum.
--
EVENTS ALL YEAR ROUND
When visiting with friends or family, take part in the activities that punctuate the days in the village: milking cows, feeding pigs, visiting the apiary, boat trips... and sample the traditional recipes prepared at the Maison des Goûts et des Couleurs...
