The "Aquanova" Competitiveness Cluster
The Aquanova competitiveness cluster was formed in 2024 following the merger of the HYDREOS and DREAM Eau & Milieux clusters. Against a backdrop of accelerating climate change, its mission is to promote the sustainable development of water management in northern France, across Europe and internationally, by fostering innovative projects – both individual and collaborative – and supporting business development.
Aquanova brings together more than 300 members from businesses, local authorities, research and education. Firmly established in the Grand Est region, with key locations notably in Strasbourg and Nancy, the cluster plays a pivotal role in water technologies, the water transition, services to local authorities and environmental technologies, by fostering an innovation ecosystem dedicated to the quality, sustainable use and resilience of water resources. -
The "BioEconomy For Change (B4C)" Competitiveness Cluster
Bioeconomy For Change (B4C), a leading centre of excellence in the bioeconomy in France, recognised at European and international level, brings together more than 500 members spanning the entire value chain: agricultural co-operatives, research institutes, universities, start-ups, SMEs, major industrial groups and public sector bodies. B4C is active in the production and sustainable utilisation of biological resources (agriculture, forestry, marine resources, co-products) for applications in food, industry, materials, bio-based chemicals and energy.
Since 2005, the cluster has supported more than 400 accredited and funded projects, representing over 2.5 billion euros of investment across the region. As a key player in the bioeconomy in the Grand Est region, B4C is further strengthening its position through the integration of the Association Chimie du Végétal (ACDV), with a view to consolidating innovation, industrialisation and the development of bio-based sectors, particularly in the agri-food, bio-based chemicals, materials, energy and sustainable technologies sectors.

The "BioValley France" Competitiveness Cluster
Based within the nextmed ecosystem in Strasbourg, the BioValley France competitiveness cluster brings its unique expertise and personalised support to the healthcare sector across four key areas: innovative medicines and therapies, e-health, medical technologies and diagnostics. For over 20 years, BioValley France has been bringing together and fostering a diverse yet united community to build a strong network combining industry players, academics in the field of healthcare innovation and hospitals: more than 250 members and partners have chosen to join the cluster to share, exchange ideas and develop the innovations of tomorrow. BioValley France offers services in the following areas: business competitiveness, innovative projects, strategic projects, visibility and influence, international relations…

The “Infra 2050” Competitiveness Cluster
Infra2050, a competitiveness cluster accredited in 2023, is dedicated to innovation in infrastructure and sustainable regional development. It supports the sector in addressing the challenges of carbon neutrality, regional resilience and the digital transition, by promoting high-impact collaborative projects.
Operating in the Grand Est region since 2026, Infra2050 is supported by a regional branch in Lorraine, with a base in Metz. The cluster focuses on low-carbon infrastructure, adapting to new forms of mobility and energy use, the integration of digital technology and the management of climate risks. It acts as a complementary lever to other regional clusters working on infrastructure, civil engineering and spatial planning. -
The ‘Vehicle of the Future’ Competitiveness Cluster
The Vehicle of the Future Cluster, which has held ‘competitiveness cluster’ status since 2005, is a major player in industrial innovation in the fields of the automotive industry, land transport and future mobility. It is particularly active in the fields of electrification, hydrogen, connected and autonomous vehicles, mobility-as-a-service, as well as the industry of the future and workforce planning.
Firmly established in the Grand Est region, the cluster is primarily based in Mulhouse, which serves as its central hub, and has branches in Nancy and Châlons-en-Champagne, amongst other locations. It brings together more than 500 members – companies, organisations involved in research, training and economic development, and local authorities – and plays a key role in the transformation and decarbonisation of the automotive sector.
