Escape for an evening and immerse yourself in the fabulous story of the perched cat! The In-Sense company invites you to the Tanzmatten in Sélestat for an immersive, emotionally-charged show. Accessible from the age of 4, it’s a great opportunity for family entertainment.
On a balmy summer Sunday afternoon, Uncle Alfred is deep in thought, working on his paintbrushes. Suddenly, the harlequin he has just drawn comes to life and escapes from the painting! Everything becomes magical and strange characters appear. A 2-legged donkey, a tiny horse, invisible oxen… all inspired by Delphine and Marinette’s imagination.
Created in 1939 by Marcel Aymé, the “Tale of the Perched Cat” questions our perception of the world and ourselves. For this show, orchestrated by the In-Sense company, the work will be adapted for mezzo-contralto, baritone and piano by Isabelle Aboulker, the award-winning composer (Prix de l’Académie des Beau-Arts, SACD…).
The show will be directed by Sébastien Davis, who will emphasize visuals to captivate the youngest audiences. A true bridge between reality and imagination, this artistic creation will introduce young audiences to pictorial art and opera in a unique way.
