Attend a magical and artistic performance by the Orchestre National de Barbès on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 8:30pm at the Tanzmatten. The venue is available for a variety of artistic and musical events, including theater, circus, comedy, dance and magic.
Founded by Algerian bassist and composer Youssef Boukella, who is also a former musician of Cheb Mami, the Orchestre National de Barbès will soon be celebrating 30 years on stage. The album is a blend of musical genres, accentuated by the Parisian combo’s Transmaghrébine French Touch. Indeed, the group fuses a range of musical genres including Algerian raï, allaoui, Kabyle and Moroccan chaâbi. The group also draws on a variety of world music styles, including reggae, jazz, funk, rock and salsa.
To welcome the new 2024 cultural season in style, the group never ceases to surprise audiences with their musical melting pot. They present an energetic, multicultural patchwork that’s both intelligent and irresistibly festive, but always in the image of today’s France.
