Virtual reality experiences at the Vodou Museum

Plunge into the heart of Vodou traditions with a unique immersive virtual reality experience. Get a front-row seat to four authentic ceremonies filmed in Benin by Virtual Journey, and experience a fascinating 360° sensory journey. In each episode, observe the great rituals of the Vodou world: the divination of the Fa, a veritable ancestral geomantic art, ceremonies dedicated to Mami Wata, divinity of the oceans, the powerful ritual around Kokou or the impressive Zangbeto mask. Each experience reveals the symbols, gestures and traditions that punctuate these emblematic Beninese ceremonies.

Accessible during the day from 2pm to 6pm, this activity allows you to view all four experiences in virtual reality, for around 45 minutes of total immersion. The ticket includes the rental of an individual headset for use on the museum’s first floor. If you’d like to extend your experience, you can also complement your visit with a tour of the museum, available at an additional cost.
