Enjoy a local speciality or visit the Unterlinden Museum before setting off on your adventure.
Day 2: Loop through wine-growing villages approx. 45-60 km
Head for the most beautiful villages on the Alsace Wine Route. You’ll pass through Ribeauvillé, Hunawihr, Riquewihr and Kientzheim, real jewels between vineyards and mountains. For the more motivated, a longer variant adds Turckheim and Eguisheim, voted one of the « Most Beautiful Villages in France ». A day rich in scenery and wine discoveries.
Day 3: Free day in Colmar
Take time to savour the art of living in Alsace. Colmar is full of treasures: stroll along the canals, stroll through the medieval streets, take a gourmet break on a terrace or enjoy a cultural visit. The Unterlinden Museum and its famous Issenheim Altarpiece are well worth a visit.
Day 4: Colmar – Munster approx. 45 km
Today’s route takes you through Turckheim and Zimmerbach to the green valley of Munster. This area, in the heart of the Ballons des Vosges Regional Nature Park, is famous for its emblematic cheese.
