To celebrate European Heritage Days 2026, the Prémontré Abbey in Pont-à-Mousson is opening its doors to you! Step back in time through nearly 9 centuries of history at this major landmark in the Grand Est region.
Designated a Historic Monument, the Abbey invites you to explore its majestic spaces. Admire the richness of its classical and Baroque architecture, its peaceful gardens, and its halls. This is the perfect opportunity to (re)discover this 18th-century masterpiece in a welcoming and enriching atmosphere.
Follow the historical tour and learn about the fate of this18th-century monument since its tragic destruction in September 1944. Marked by major reconstruction and restoration projects, this iconic site has shown incredible vitality since the 1960s.
Guided tours will be offered throughout the day. A game booklet will be available for families. To round out your visit, you’ll have the opportunity to see the exhibition dedicated to the Nancy-based ceramicists and sculptors Pierre and Joseph Mougin, as well as works by artists Michel Laurent, Emilie Pierson, Daniel Ackerman, and Claude Goutin, which will enhance your stroll through the gardens.

The Abbaye des Prémontrés is an emblematic regional landmark with many facets:
