From April to the end of October, Grand Angle invites you to discover Alsace on a cycling adventure. Magnificent landscapes to contemplate, medieval villages to visit and historic sites to explore await you on this escapade. You and your family will cycle along the Wine Route for seven days.
This beautiful bike ride promises an exceptional family trip. Along the way, you’ll enjoy overnight stays in family or double rooms, and start each day with a complimentary breakfast. To make the most of every moment of your journey, the offer also includes transport for your luggage.
It all starts in Strasbourg, where you’ll have the opportunity to visit the city, its historic monuments and picturesque districts. From there, the next day you’ll head for Ergersheim along the Canal de la Bruche, then on to Molsheim. The adventure continues on the « véloroute des Vins », the perfect route to explore the region’s villages and vineyards. This is a day for architecture lovers, with destinations including typical Romanesque buildings. Take a look at the church at Rosheim or the abbey at Andlau.
On the fourth day, you can cycle to Kientzheim or Sélestat, without missing out on the beauty of the surrounding villages: Blienschwiller, famous for its Grand Cru Winzenberg, as well as Dambach-la-Ville and Scherwiller, typical Alsatian wine villages.
This family outing then takes you to Ribeauvillé. Along the way, take time to visit various attractions, depending on your chosen itinerary (Kintzheim or Sélestat). Château du Haut-Koenigsbourg would be an excellent choice for history buffs. You’ll also have the opportunity to stop off at the charming medieval town of Bergheim, to admire its pretty half-timbered houses.
The last day of the tour is full of adventure. Take advantage of your visit to Hunawihr to observe otters and storks at the NaturOparc center. After Riquewihr, you can visit the vineyards of the Bestheim winery on the way to Bennwihr. Another option would be to follow the road towards Kientzheim and Kaysersberg to reach Colmar. The city’s historic quarter is just waiting for you to stroll its cobbled streets. It’s a great opportunity to contemplate its typical architecture before returning to the hotel.
