What if you were to step through the gates? The Parc zoologique et botanique de Mulhouse offers you a rare experience: share the day-to-day life of animal caretakers for 3 hours, at the heart of one of France’s oldest zoos.
Supervised by a park professional, you’ll take part in essential animal care missions: preparing food rations, taking part in feeding, helping to clean the facilities and observing the animals’ behavior in their environment. A precious opportunity to get up close to emblematic species and better understand their needs, while respecting animal welfare protocols.
This immersion program is aimed at nature lovers, wildlife enthusiasts and future professionals in the sector, aged 16 and over. The activity is deliberately limited to a maximum of 5 participants, to encourage exchanges with the animal keeper and guarantee individualized supervision.
With its wildlife areas and botanical gardens, the Parc de Mulhouse is renowned for its commitment to the preservation of endangered species. You’ll get a real insight into the essential role played by groomers in conserving biodiversity.
An experience to be enjoyed up close and personal with the animals, by online reservation only.

Parc zoologique et botanique de Mulhouse
Created in 1868, the Mulhouse Zoological and Botanical Park welcomes 1,200 animals in a magnificent 25-hectare landscaped setting.
As a European center for the conservation and knowledge of endangered species, the park offers visitors the opportunity to observe the 160 species presented in order to better understand them and take action for their preservation. The park, classified as a "Remarkable Garden", and its 9 thematic gardens offer a place to walk in all seasons.
The zoological and botanical park offers many possibilities for discovery to enrich group or family outings: guided animal or botanical tours, visits on a small train, animal encounters, treasure hunts or special visits. An adapted catering service is also available for young and old alike!
