At the heart of Mulhouse’s Zoological and Botanical Park, enjoy three themed guided tours lasting 1h30, accessible to visitors aged 7 and over. Designed for the naturally curious, they invite you to observe, understand and analyze the animal world with fresh eyes. To take part, you need a park admission ticket.
- We’ve got fangs! At the educational chalet, the focus is on observation and analysis. Thanks to a collection of skulls from different species, you can study incisors, canines and molars to understand their role in feeding. The shape, size and number of teeth reveal the animals’ diet and lifestyle. A hands-on, interactive experience that plunges you into the heart of animal anatomy.
- Les animaux pas si bêtes! Forget preconceived ideas. This tour explores animal intelligence through field observations and behavioral science. Do fish really have a limited memory? Are birds dizzy? Do wolves attack for no reason? Along the way, your guide deciphers species’ learning abilities, social strategies and adaptive behaviors. You’ll discover that memory, communication and organization are far more developed than you might think. A lively, educational tour that will change your perception of the animal kingdom.
- Mimicry and camouflage: set off on an immersive walk dedicated to the colors and patterns of living things. Stripes, spots, bright plumage or discreet hues: every detail has a precise function. Learn how animals use camouflage to escape predators, communicate, seduce or protect their territory. By observing coats, plumage and scales, you’ll learn to decipher the adaptation strategies shaped by nature. A fascinating, visual approach.
Book your guided tour and enjoy an enriching experience up close to the animals of the Grand Est region.

Parc zoologique et botanique de Mulhouse
Created in 1868, the Mulhouse Zoological and Botanical Park welcomes 1,200 animals in a magnificent 25-hectare landscaped setting.
As a European center for the conservation and knowledge of endangered species, the park offers visitors the opportunity to observe the 160 species presented in order to better understand them and take action for their preservation. The park, classified as a "Remarkable Garden", and its 9 thematic gardens offer a place to walk in all seasons.
The zoological and botanical park offers many possibilities for discovery to enrich group or family outings: guided animal or botanical tours, visits on a small train, animal encounters, treasure hunts or special visits. An adapted catering service is also available for young and old alike!
