Lichtenberg Castle Medieval Festival

Overlooking the Alsace countryside, Lichtenberg Castle hosts Les Médiévales from Friday July 3 to Sunday July 12, 2026. For 10 days, the historic site is transformed into a veritable period setting, immersing you in the world of knights, craftsmen and medieval traditions, in an exceptional heritage setting.

The festivities kick off on Friday, July 3, with an immersive evening of medieval banqueting and music. The banquet is accessible by reservation only. The first weekend features a medieval market bringing together some thirty local artisans. Pottery, jewelry, costumes, calligraphy and gourmet specialties are all on offer. Demonstrations of skills, music, dance, wandering shows and wooden games create a friendly, participatory atmosphere.

From Monday July 6 to Friday July 10, enjoy daily activities for the whole family: self-guided immersive treasure hunts, guided tours and new activities every day. The closing weekend is devoted to life-size historical re-enactments, conferences and themed tours to better understand the history of the castle and the region.
