        You can discover the Grand Est region on a number of walking routes, with a surprising variety of landscapes. Still too hot? Head for the superb mountain lakes, where you can swim, paddle, pedal-boat or simply relax with the family, surrounded by majestic peaks.

        The Vosges Massif is a gently sloping mountain, accessible to all and offering a host of pleasures, including gourmet delights. Don't miss out on a marcaire meal in a farmhouse inn to round off your adventures.

          In summer, you can make the most of the long days with the original events on offer in the towns and cities, or soak up the folklore of the village festivals. Music or street arts festivals, gourmet or grandiose events punctuate the summer months. Rock and wine in Colmar, the world's largest gathering of hot-air balloons (GEMAB) between Nancy and Metz, or the World Festival of Puppet Theatres in Charleville-Mézières : there's something for everyone!
